  1. Ed Schmidt III says:

I retired from Educational Facilities Management in CA and returned to my home in Clinton, Iowa. I only have a but over an acre, but my property used to be part of an old pear and apple orchard. I decided to plant dwarf cider apples and stone fruits: cherries, peaches, plums; grapes, hazelnuts, raspberries, blueberries, currents; and honey bees and flow through worm bins. My goal is to be a demonstration plot for regenerative agriculture. We have a small wild flower plot for pollinators so people can see a variety of organic gardening techniques: healthy soils produces healthy plants that produces healthy foods and healthy people.
